Technically speaking, what is hindering the development of the Internet?
Is it bandwidth? With the rapid popularization of broadband and the emergence of WiMax cities, this is not an issue; is it storage? You must be joking. Google will soon offer 50GB of free online storage space, and a single card can allow us to carry our software environment, including the operating system; is it that software cannot break through or that CPUs have reached their limit? No, no, you're way off...
What I'm referring to is batteries. Among all terminal hardware technologies, I cannot find any other technology that has progressed as slowly as batteries. After much effort, manufacturers finally made some progress with batteries for mobile devices (including laptops), but then Boom! —— they exploded, and we had to take a step back.
The Internet will be ubiquitous — this prophecy is becoming a reality. Yet, we often find ourselves disappointed to realize that although the network is everywhere, we are unable to enjoy it at any time and place, and the culprit is batteries.
