IM on Mobile Phones - 27 Recommended Mobile IMs
I originally intended to create a special feature on this topic, but unfortunately it was too broad and kept being put off. Recently, I came across an article written by my friend Wonfeng, which greatly inspired me. So I gathered a lot of material and prepared to write a comprehensive piece about current IM mobile applications.
All the following are IM apps for mobile phones, referring to mainstream IMs like MSN, Yahoo Messenger, Gtalk, ICQ, AIM, etc. Most are selected from foreign websites, so the connection method may mostly be through CMNET and not all models may be supported. However, you can choose the best ones for yourself. Due to limited time and energy, I cannot provide detailed introductions:
1) MSN MOBILE: This is Microsoft's official version. I used it before and felt it wasn't very aesthetically pleasing, but now it seems quite powerful. It's rumored that some versions have started charging, which is frustrating!
2) GIZMO: Supports multiple mainstream IMs and cheap calls. It feels pretty good!

3) Verichat: Recently, what has driven me crazy the most is that Verichat couldn't log in these days. It was still usable on the 13th. This software is what I've been using. Paired with BlackBerry's full keyboard, most of the netizens chatting with me didn't know I was using a phone! Although it has had problems these few days, I can't bear to discard it yet, let's wait and see.
4) MIg33: I introduced this one before. It integrates mainstream IMs and is a pretty good app. I feel that the cheap calls it provides are very affordable (this conclusion is based on comparing it with Jajah, Skype, Eko, Gimzo, etc.).
5) Webmessenger: This is most likely the product I would use to replace Verichat, unfortunately, it can't connect to the server on BlackBerry! It has powerful functions! It just announced free usage recently, previously it cost several dozen dollars!~
6) Eqo: This software also supports QQ, unfortunately, my BlackBerry never managed to log in. Now, registering each account gets you a 20 RMB bonus, supporting cheap calls. Calls to the US cost only around 30 cents per minute, allowing for a long duration of free calls!
7) Fring: This has always made me drool, unfortunately, it only supports Symbian and WM. It supports multiple IMs and VOIP, with a nice interface!
8) Talkonant: Supports Jabber, Google Talk, ICQ, MSN, AIM, and Yahoo! mobile access. You can download it on your computer or visit get.talkonaut.com via your mobile device. Log in with a Gtalk account or directly register a Jabber account (tutorial available here). You can switch to a Chinese interface, select Menu - IM Relay to log in and use MSN (or others).
9) Mova Messenger: Another software that makes me drool but I can't use on my "little black" phone. I really like its interface, it's beautiful. Besides mainstream IMs, it also supports QQ, and it's free. But the company also released Mova Mail, unfortunately, this one costs money.

10) Nimbuzz: This software doesn't have many distinctive features other than support for mainstream IMs, similar to Mig33, but the color scheme of the interface is pleasant. The chat room inside is too chaotic!
11) Palringo: This one should be pretty good too, unfortunately, I couldn't download the Java version, so I haven't tried it specifically.

12) Gototalkmobile: Couldn't get it to work on my "little black", but it should be very useful on other devices! (I'm starting to have an urge to smash my little black: why is its Java compatibility so bad?)
13) Iskoot: A very nice software, with no complaints about the interface and controls. It allows your phone to support Skype calls (incidentally criticizing Tom Skype: how many people does that Skype Pro deceive? Clearly, it only charges for connection fees, but they come up with + rate * time!)
