HTC launched a new smartphone, the HTC Snap, at today's CTIA 09 event. It comes pre-installed with Windows Mobile 6.0 and features a standard QWERTY keyboard. The phone is only 12mm thick and has a trackball instead of a navigation key. Additionally, there's a new Inner Circle button on the bottom right corner of the device that opens Email directly. The HTC Snap uses a Qualcomm 528MHz processor, with 256MB ROM and 128MB RAM. It also includes a 2.4-inch QVGA (240×320) display (defective), a 2-megapixel camera (defective), and supports GPS, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. The HTC Snap will begin selling in the second quarter of this year. Furthermore, the U.S. custom version, HTC S721, will be released in the summer and will support 850/1900MHz HSDPA.
