Google's acquisition of SS1 has further developments.

The rumor about Google purchasing SS1 has been resolved:

The real SpaceShipOne still hangs high in the Smithsonian Museum in Washington on October 21st (video).

Google did buy an SS1 and placed it in Building 43, but this is a replica of SpaceShipOne (picture).

If you are as rich as Google, you can visit Space Toy趣 to purchase a full-size, 1:1 replica of SS1.
