The American search giant, Google, has recently announced a number of open Internet application APIs (application programming interfaces), including one for machine translation. With the help of this interface, in the future, even if Internet users don't know English, they will be able to post English comments.

Google's machine translation API is used for Ajax development on other websites. Other websites can call Google's machine translation backend through the interface, thereby providing fresh translation applications.

Google has mainly provided two application interfaces. One is real-time machine translation. On a third-party website, users can type in text in their familiar language, and the webpage will automatically translate it into English, thus allowing them to post English comments. Of course, users can also choose the specific language they want to translate.

The other interface is real-time language detection. Websites can automatically identify the type of language the user is inputting and can remind the user according to the application requirements.

Previously, Google mainly provided machine translation services through its own web pages, which could translate a piece of text or input a URL to translate an entire webpage.
