Read/WriteWeb reported earlier this year (Chinese link) that Google has made plans for the phone service GrandCentral which it acquired in July 2007. GrandCentral will be reborn under the name Google Voice and it will include all the functions of GrandCentral. Google's free voice service will allow users to manage their telephone numbers in a unified way, then transfer all incoming calls to Google Voice. Users can also convert voice messages into text messages, make simultaneous calls to multiple people, and get discounts when making international calls.
