In the world of online gaming, there is a group of people who don't like to play games in teams with others, as they find it too troublesome to adjust to others' habits and temperaments. So, they decide to control 2 or even more PCs at the same time, completing tasks that usually require a team to finish. These people call this kind of gameplay "Dual Boxing" (or 3 boxing, 4 boxing, 5 boxing, etc.), and they have their own forums where they often discuss hardware configurations for multi-machine operations, software coordination, and optimized operation methods.

Recently, there has been such a crazy player on their forum. He and his girlfriend control 46 accounts in "World of Warcraft", forming an entire guild. This couple started multi-machine operations back in 2001 when they were playing "EverQuest", then moved to "World of Warcraft" in 2005, starting from dual-machine operations and eventually reaching 23 machines.

To save space and energy, their 47 machines (23 each + one server) are mostly Mini PCs from Shuttle, AOpen, etc., and except for two of them, none are equipped with hard drives, instead using PXE diskless network operation. In terms of operation, they use programmable keyboards and KVM multi-machine switching devices, alternately operating 23 accounts on three monitors each. Additionally, abroad, there's no free downloadable client, so they actually spent around $60 per set, purchasing 46 sets of "World of Warcraft" + "The Burning Crusade".
