Foshan wants to build an animation base, but it's difficult.

Foshan will release its cartoon industry support policy within this year. A large lot located on the west extension line of Tongji Road will be put up for auction bidding in the middle of this month. Bidders for this lot are required to be foreign sole proprietorship or Sino-foreign joint ventures establishing domestic cartoon specialty companies. This means that Foshan will introduce large-scale cartoon companies to promote cartoon industry development. However, currently few local Foshan schools have opened cartoon specialties. Some cartoon enterprises believe that a shortage of talent may become an industrial development bottleneck. Relevant officials from the Foshan Information Industry Bureau suggest that local colleges and universities can open such majors as appropriate, and at the same time also rely on Guangzhou colleges and universities to attract mid-to-high level talents.
