I rummaged through the picture library and found a picture of a girl with visual appeal, then started processing it with Photoshop. Drawing vector-style pictures is really difficult; once you start, you tend to go all out in one direction. The lines around the eyes turned out too rigid at first. Later, I used an earlier method for writing with a brush pen, and the effect finally became more natural. The mouth was a part that I was relatively satisfied with this time. The black and white contrast was decent, and the black was quite effective. In the end, I still experimented with layer blending modes and got two additional pictures.
Production Notes:
1. Any makeup on the face usually has some fuzzy effect around the edges, except for lipstick. Therefore, when doing it, it's best to soften the edges by feathering them first, then using "diffusion."
2. Color selection should not be overly pure. For instance, black eyeshadow may not appear as pure black on the skin; here, it appears as coffee-colored. The lips were not pure black at the beginning either but had a bit of pinkish gray. If you want to add eyeshadow, consider this point. After selecting the color, use "multiply" to allow the color to mix evenly with the content underneath.
3. To change the color of the mouth, I used adjustment layers. Below, there was a "gradient map" from brown-black to white, then made a lip shape mask; above, there was "brightness/contrast" to enhance the shine of the lips. (People who do cosplay say it's really not easy to make it so black, this way is much simpler.)
The skin recoloring process was similar but used "hue/saturation." By lowering the saturation, I achieved snow-white skin, then used a mask to paint out the surrounding parts.
4. After merging all the layers, you can try copying the layers to get various blending effects. Here, I used "overlay" and "vivid light."
5. Pay attention to details. For example, although nails are small, they should still be considered. Here, after changing the fingernails to black, I also added white petals. However, since the image has been reduced in size now, the effect is not very obvious.
