During summer, the phenomenon of midnight sun occurs, while in winter, the duration of daylight is extremely short (less than 7 hours in some areas). Therefore, sunlight is very precious. Most Swedish families have huge windows, and the interiors are predominantly white to ensure the maximum reflection of light.
2. Wooden Floors: Sweden is abundant in timber resources, and given their hospitality, wooden floors are the perfect choice. In fact, Swedes are more captivated by the natural beauty of wood, so they only use small carpets. Due to heavy rainfall and snow, large carpets are not practical. Considering the factor of lighting, white wooden floors are the most commonly used.
