【Plot Summary】:
By this season, 24 has aired a total of 150 episodes. It is a pioneer in American TV series history for its innovation, addictive nature, and widespread acclaim. In the intricately connected first six seasons, it garnered 57 Emmy nominations, winning the Best Drama Series Award in 2006 and simultaneously securing Kiefer Sutherland the Best Actor award that same year. The "Day 7" storyline takes place in Washington D.C., set four years after the dissolution of the Counter Terrorist Unit and Bauer’s trial from the sixth season. His life is once again abruptly disrupted by the return of former colleague TONY ALMEIDA (Carlos Bernard). Meanwhile, newly elected President ALLISON TAYLOR (Cherry Jones) works alongside White House Chief of Staff ETHAN KANIN (Bob Gunton) and First Gentleman HENRY TAYLOR (Colm Feore) to fight for their country.
A national security crisis prompts an investigation by FBI agents, including JANIS GOLD (Janeane Garofalo), RENEE WALKER (Annie Wersching), LARRY MOSS (Jeffrey Nordling), and SEAN HILLINGER (Rhys Coiro). Although the CTU no longer exists, another catastrophic event brings CHLOE O’BRIAN (Mary Lynn Rajskub) and BILL BUCHANAN (James Morrison) back into action.
