ECNS, August 9 -- According to foreign media reports on August 9, some people eat dried clothes and some bite their nails. But can you imagine that some people eat ashes? The US TLC reality show "My Strange Addiction" recently told the story of 26-year-old Casey, who was so overwhelmed with grief after her husband's death that she carried his ashes with her all the time, and even ate them little by little.

Casey's husband Sean died unexpectedly of asthma two months ago. Casey was extremely sad after her husband's departure. "My world fell apart. I just want my husband back," Casey said. After the funeral, when Casey moved the ashes from a temporary cardboard box to an urn, a little bit spilled out. "Some of it got on my fingers. I didn't want to just sweep it away, so I licked my fingers," Casey said, "and then I couldn't stop myself. I kept eating for two months."

Casey ate a little bit of the ashes every day and carried her husband's ashes with her at all times. She took him shopping, to the movies, and to restaurants. "I take Sean anywhere. I take him shopping and buy what he likes," Casey said, "when I cook, I don't want to eat, but I still have to cook. I only make dishes that he loves."

Although this habit deeply troubled Casey's family and friends, Casey felt that having her husband's ashes around was the best comfort. When she was sad, Casey would cry in front of the urn and mutter, "I miss you so much."

Although people do not understand her absurd behavior, Casey feels that she has not done anything excessive. "Some people laugh at me, some think I am putting on a show. But I am not, this is my husband," Casey said.

Currently, Casey is undergoing psychological treatment to overcome this dependency.
