Yunnan Yao'an 6.0 Magnitude Earthquake Leaves 56 Seriously Injured, 280 Slightly Injured

Xinhua News Agency reported that according to the measurement of the China National Seismic Network, at 19:19 on July 9th, a 6.0-magnitude earthquake occurred in Yao'an County, Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, with a focal depth of about 10 kilometers. The epicenter of this earthquake was located in Guantun Township, Yao'an County. The epicenter was approximately 16 kilometers away from the county town. Areas such as Dali, Lijiang, and Kunming experienced strong tremors.
