When the financial crisis comes, why do we need to keep accounts?

The financial crisis is here. Why should we keep accounts?

In fact, I didn't have the habit of keeping accounts before. I thought it was cumbersome and had no habit of doing so, thinking that the money I earned was not much and there was nothing to record. I believed that I would spend the money anyway, and whether or not I kept accounts wouldn't make any difference in controlling my spending.

Since taking charge of operating China's largest online accounting SAAS platform - Caike Online, my understanding of bookkeeping has deepened, and I've gradually started to keep accounts myself, slowly changing my previous misconceptions about bookkeeping.

What are the benefits of keeping accounts? Actually, keeping accounts doesn't equal saving money. The benefit of bookkeeping is that it allows you to clearly understand where your money goes. Based on this understanding, you can plan your life and spending in a macro way. You can develop good consumption habits and concepts. So what are the advantages of online bookkeeping? Many people would say that they can use notebooks, EXCEL, or standalone accounting software for bookkeeping. Then why do more people start online bookkeeping now? Mainly because it's convenient; as long as you have internet access, you can keep accounts anytime and anywhere without too many restrictions. At the same time, online bookkeeping has powerful functions that can help members maximize the fun and benefits brought by bookkeeping.

Bookkeeping is the foundation of financial management. To manage finances, it's actually about changing the previously ignorant consumption habits and concepts. Why? Because money is hard-earned sweat money, if spent recklessly, it would be the biggest waste, and it would be unfair to the fruits of one's labor. If you can spend reasonably, it will not only make your spending more scientific and reasonable but also justify the hard-earned sweat money.

Many people say they earn a lot each month, feeling that their monthly expenses aren't much, but at the end of the month, all the money is gone. Why is this? Mainly because they overlook the fact that money isn't spent on big things, but rather on daily expenses. Everyone can't possibly buy cell phones or televisions every month, but everyone needs to eat and buy daily necessities regularly. Money is spent without notice, and because these are small expenses, you don't feel it. Accumulated bit by bit, it turns into a large expense.

Great wealth depends on fate, small wealth depends on frugality, this saying makes a lot of sense. Saving more in daily life can help accumulate money. For example, every time I went out to visit clients in the past, when I was thirsty, I would buy cola and other drinks, which cost me over a hundred yuan a month. After starting to keep accounts, every time I went out to visit clients, I took water from home, saving around a hundred yuan a month. For example, after communicating with many friends who keep accounts, they said: "Before, when we went shopping, if we saw products we liked, we would buy them without considering the price, etc. But since we started keeping accounts and saw our hard-earned money being spent quickly, we began to think carefully during shopping trips: Is this item worth buying? If it's not worth it, we won't buy it." Many friends who keep accounts say: "For items that can be bought or not, we try to avoid buying them." Many friends may buy unnecessary products and waste money because they haven't rationally considered their purchases, leading to impulsive consumption. Some account-keeping friends said: "For example, before keeping accounts, we might buy high-end products for hundreds of yuan, but since starting to keep accounts, we buy ordinary branded products with good quality and average prices, yet the effect is the same as the big brands."

After keeping accounts, you can always remind yourself to change some of your consumption habits and concepts. Only in this way can you gradually form good habits. Just keeping accounts without changing consumption habits and concepts will never lead to progress. Bookkeeping is the foundation, forming good habits benefits you for a lifetime.
