Tianya Zhichi Plot Outline

"Tianya Zhichi" is divided into three parts: "Separation", "Return", and "Integration". Based on human emotions and ethics, the drama reflects social changes, national honor and disgrace, and personal missions over the past half-century through the story of a traditional Chinese family's separation and reunion over the course of fifty years. The first part of "Tianya Zhichi", "Separation", takes place in Shanghai in the 1930s. Against the backdrop of a national crisis, the conflicts and entanglements between the four wives of a wealthy merchant family and their descendants make for a complex and twisting plot with intricate character relationships.
