Plot Introduction:
The TV series "Crossing the Pass" (Part II) tells the story of the resilient survival and brave struggle of those who crossed the pass during this historical period. Just over twenty years old, the eldest sister Song Tianhao brings her two younger sisters and little brother from Shandong to Shenyang to look for their father. However, the artillery fire of the "September 18th Incident" shattered their dream of family reunion, and the establishment of the puppet state of Manchukuo made them become refugees of a fallen nation. Father Song Chengzu rose up to fight against Japan but unfortunately died; the little brother was abducted and ended up in an unfamiliar vast grassland after many twists and turns; the second sister went into the dangerous deep mountains to look for the little brother; and the eldest sister Song Tianhao and the third sister fled to Dalian. The four siblings faced life and death multiple times, endured hardships, and after the "July 7th Incident", they reunited again in Xiushuitun deep in the Changbai Mountains. Facing the bloody rule of Japanese imperialism, they refused to be refugees of a fallen nation, straightened the spines of the Chinese people, and survived with resilience. They fought against the invaders, traitors, and arrogant Japanese settlers, writing a magnificent chapter of the anti-Japanese resistance of those who crossed the pass with their own blood, tears, and the righteous spirit of the Chinese nation. Director Hou Yong is a perfectionist, often shooting a scene dozens of times. Dong Xuan, dressed in a cheongsam, shivered in the snow because the camera couldn't capture her shoes, so she wore a pair of snow boots, which kept her a bit warmer. Knowing she would have to stand in the snow for a long time, Dong Xuan had already put heating pads on the soles of her feet to temporarily resist the cold.
