Xinhua News Agency, Quito, April 1 -- In a report issued on April 1st, the Ecuadorian Civil Defense Organization said that the rainstorm disaster which began in February has caused nearly half of Ecuador's territory to be affected by the disaster. Floods and landslides triggered by the heavy rains have resulted in 54 deaths, while more than 10 others are still missing.
