Intelligent "Box" Responds to "Alternative" Searches
"Where in Beijing can I find a girlfriend to marry?" The deliberately elongated tone of Baidu CEO Robin Li caused an outbreak of laughter across the room.
After the laughter subsided, Robin Li stated that Baidu will introduce a more intelligent search platform called "Box Computing" to address the increasing number of "alternative" searches.
On August 18th, the 2009 Baidu Technology Innovation Conference with the theme "Innovation Starts With You" was grandly held at the China Grand Hotel in Beijing. During this conference, Baidu's Chairman and CEO Robin Li released the concept and framework of the "Box Computing" platform.
