Life after prison

How much do you think living in prison for ten or even dozens of years would affect a person's appearance? British photographer Araminta de Clermont took this series of photographs capturing the lives of ex-prisoners after their release.

Although tattoos are strictly prohibited in prison, it is something they often do. Of course, the required tools and equipment are hard to come by, so they have resorted to using trash can paint, industrial rubber washers, batteries, bricks, and saliva as pigments, then using nails or needles for tattooing.
