Author's note: "Recently, I got a new piece of photography equipment to try out, but after the product arrived, I realized there was no one around to act as a model for testing. Out of necessity, I had to step in myself. Since I wanted to take a shallow depth-of-field close-up photo, I set up the camera on a tripod, stood in the middle of the yard, and found an angle that avoided trees, buildings, and other messy backgrounds. Once everything was ready, I encountered an immediate challenge while adjusting the camera settings—self-portraiture is not as easy as it seems! Therefore, I've listed some small insights I gained during this shoot, which I believe will be helpful to readers."
