Pete Eckert is a very special photographer because he has another identity: a blind person. He was originally a trained sculptor and carpenter, working in industrial design until one day a doctor diagnosed him with retinitis pigmentosa, a hereditary eye disease that caused him to become permanently blind. However, he unexpectedly developed a passion for photography and created stunning photographic works using his sense of hearing and touch.
