Nick Veasey is a British photographer who uses laboratory and hospital X-ray science equipment to create his work.
Despite the poetic lightness of his image style, the process is in fact as rigorous as a scientific experiment - radioactive photons pass through the subject to create photographs on special film. He also had to wear a heavy, lead-lined overalls to protect him from dangerous radioactive optical fibers.
Nick currently runs a company called Untitled, which specializes in making X-ray images. In addition to having a client base from all over the world, he has also won several international photography awards in recent years. In April, his collection of photographs, "X-rays :See Through the World Around You," received media attention.
Note: Because X-ray photography is dangerous to the human body, sometimes Nick needs to rent a corpse to complete the shooting.
