"I began to attend job fairs on the tenth day of the Chinese New Year. I sent out more than 60 resumes, but very few companies responded. Is there something wrong with my resume?" Recently, Wang Yi, a senior student majoring in biotechnology at Huazhong University's WenHua College, has been troubled: he attended quite a lot of job fairs, yet no company showed interest in him so far.
There are many college students who share the same confusion as Wang Yi. At a recent recruitment fair held at Huazhong University of Science and Technology's Guigu Gymnasium, I saw that the "Resume Consulting Booth" set up on site was surrounded by college students. Some of them had resumes that were densely packed into one page, while others had colorful resumes that were several pages long. "We usually plagiarize the 'templates' used by our seniors, or refer to those used by our peers when making our own resumes. Very few people tell us how to make a resume that will grab the attention of employers," said a college student.
