Goodness! The dog scared the shark away by biting it.

The other day, an Australian uploaded such a video on Youtube: two dogs were playing in the clear blue sea water. The vaguely visible shark fin in the water blocked their way back to the shore. But one of them was fearless and bravely launched an attack on the shark. It dived under the water and took a bite of the shark, which eventually scared all the sharks away.
