On June 21st, Beijing time, the Nokia Connection 2011 conference opened at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. Several Nokia leaders, including CEO Stephen Elop, head of mobile phones Mary McDowell, and head of the design department Marko Ahtisaari, took turns to give speeches, explaining Nokia's strategy and launching new products. As expected, the highly anticipated N9 made its appearance at this conference! The Symbian Anna 2.0 version system was demonstrated on-site, providing a brand-new user interface and icon design, as well as an updated browser, OVI Maps, and integrated social services. In July, Nokia will release two phones based on the Anna system: the E7 and C7. Old users will have to wait until August for the upgrade.

Nokia continued to introduce its "Next Billion" plan, aiming to make smartphones more affordable for more people. They also announced the launch of dual-SIM phones, including the Nokia X1-01 with dual-SIM standby support and third-party storage systems, as well as the C2-00 and C2-03 models.

Marco Argenti announced that Qt would be ported to non-smartphone platforms to serve Nokia's "Next Billion" plan. Although the previous plans were influenced by Windows Phone, the Qt platform would not be abandoned. Instead, it would become a development tool spanning across Symbian, MeeGo, and non-smartphone platforms.
