Microsoft has started distributing the early beta version and invitation keys of Windows 8 through "Windows 8 and Server vNext Pre-Release" to several major OEM partners. Microsoft provides the download for Windows 8 Build 7971.0.110324-1900 on the official Connect website. Major OEM partners of Microsoft (HP is currently known) can already download Windows 8 Milestone 3 from Connect.
The Russian website Winreview.ru has published screenshots of the Windows 8 installation process online, from which everyone can see that Windows 8 borrows the Metro interface style from Windows Phone 7, making it convenient for users to perform touch operations. This was actually expected by many, as after WP7, Microsoft has already adopted or planned to adopt the Metro interface in multiple products.
From the screenshots, you can also get a glimpse of the new visual theme of Windows 8, Aero Lite. For example, the newly added user avatar in the taskbar allows users to log in with their Windows Live ID, and the system will display the user's login avatar in the lower-right corner. It is reported that the Aero Lite visual theme is prepared for mid-to-low-end users, with various appearances designed to be flatter, not as smooth and rounded as other visual themes.
