Jet-Man: Yves Rossy (a former Swiss Air Force pilot), "the first person to reach sufficient altitude and maintain level flight stability with foldable carbon fiber aerodynamic wings." He accomplished the remarkable feat of being the first human to directly experience "jet-style" flight with his body. The wings that assisted him in his flight were made of materials such as metal, fiberglass, and carbon fiber, and equipped with four diesel engine turbines weighing 22 kilograms in total. With their help, Rossy dropped from an altitude of 7,750 feet and then performed a beautiful flight "just like a jet plane."
