The strategic cooperation between the three major telecom carriers and Beijing Municipality will accelerate the 3G development. According to the framework of strategic cooperation agreement, the people's government of Beijing Municipality has determined to establish long-term strategic cooperative relationship with the three basic telecom service providers. The people's government of Beijing Municipality actively supports the rapid development of the three basic telecom service providers in Beijing. In the next few years, the rolling investment involving the 3G construction, broadband access and other urban high-speed information network construction, promoting informatization application, driving information industry as well as the key projects construction of service support system by the three basic telecom operation companies in Beijing will exceed 10 billion yuan, which will bring about 20-30 billion yuan investment in upstream and downstream industries, stabilize the employment of 200,000-300,000 people, and create 50,000-80,000 job opportunities.
