People have senses such as sight, hearing, and smell. Through these senses, people can perceive the external world and transmit external information to the brain. Research by psychologists shows that 83% of information is obtained through vision, while 11% is obtained through hearing. If both are organically combined, more information can be gained. Moreover, studies on memory show that when using only auditory input, about 60% of the acquired information can be retained after three hours, but this drops to 15% after three days; when using only visual input, retention is about 70% after three hours, but falls to 40% after three days. However, if both audio and visual inputs are used together, retention is about 90% after three hours, and still remains at 75% after three days. These results indicate that if multiple senses such as sight and hearing work synergistically, it helps in retaining more information.
