General Xiao Ke, a national hero, passed away. In March 1927, he began to participate in revolutionary work and once won the Mao Dun Literature Prize. He was the last senior general from the Red Army era, the last general who participated in the National Revolutionary Army in 1926, the last general who participated in the Northern Expedition War and the "August 1" Nanchang Uprising in 1927, and the last general who held the position of army corps commander and front-line army leadership during the 25,000-li Long March.
