After more practice, Cai Bolì discovered that good Feng Shui really has a positive impact on people, while bad Feng Shui can indeed bring illness and difficulties. Thus, he came to believe in the value of Feng Shui and gradually began to study it earnestly. The more he studied, the more he appreciated the depth and breadth of Chinese astronomy and calendars. Consequently, he apprenticed under Zhang Zhaosi, a renowned mathematician in Guangzhou at the time, and also studied astronomical mathematics with Zhang Yun, who had formerly been the president and director of the Astronomy Department at Sun Yat-sen University. Having received the true teachings of his predecessors and through dedicated research and long-term accumulation, he enriched and perfected theories such as "Celestial Stars and Five Elements" and "Solar and Lunar Illumination." His doctrines have had a wide influence in Guangdong province, Hong Kong, Macao, and overseas.
