Our agency news - Between 7:20 and 7:45 PM the night before last, a Tibetan Mastiff went on a rampage in the Lishui city area, injuring five people.
In a touching twist, in order to protect its owner, a wolf dog valiantly engaged the mastiff in battle and was also injured.
The first person bitten was an elderly man who fed the mastiff.
Mr. Guan Shouzhen, 63 years old, is the first person to be bitten by the Tibetan Mastiff. Mr. Guan runs a sundries shop near He Village on Ring City Road in Lishui City. He said that this mastiff belongs to the boss of a nearby factory, weighing over a hundred catties, and is usually kept restrained by a chain.
The dog's owner is from Wenzhou and spends little time in Lishui. Entrusted by the dog's owner, he often goes to feed the mastiff.
Around 7:20 PM the night before last, the mastiff somehow broke free from its chain and suddenly charged towards his small shop. It caused chaos inside, knocking all the goods onto the ground and smashing the counter glass.
Mr. Guan Shouzhen, unable to pay attention to the scattered goods, tried to quickly avoid the situation but hadn't even taken a step when the dog had already pounced on him, biting several times.
Mr. Guan Shouzhen was bitten on the middle of his left thigh and the ankle of his lower leg.
However, the mastiff did not stop. Around 7:30 PM, it ran into the adjacent factory and bit three more people.
The fifth victim was Aunt He, the mother of the boss of a paint company on North Ring City Road in Lishui.
At the time, Aunt He and her family were watching TV when their own wolf dog suddenly started barking. Aunt He, aged 57, stepped outside and was immediately pounced upon by a Tibetan Mastiff, which bit her several times and dragged her several meters.
At this moment, their own wolf dog rushed up and actively "engaged" the mastiff. Despite its bravery, the wolf dog was no match for the mastiff and sustained multiple injuries. However, during these few minutes, Aunt He was saved.
Upon hearing Aunt He's cries for help, her family immediately came to her aid.
By this time, officers from the Zijin Police Station of the Liandu District Public Security Bureau in Lishui, who had received an alarm from the public, had also searched to this area.
Everyone forced the mastiff into Aunt He's kitchen and locked it up, then cordoned off the scene.
The police contacted the mastiff's owner, Mr. Liu, who immediately drove from Wenzhou to Lishui.
Around 10:30 PM the night before last, Mr. Liu arrived in Lishui. Upon seeing his owner arrive, the ferocious mastiff became docile and obediently followed its owner away.
The five victims bitten by the mastiff were immediately sent to Lishui Central Hospital for treatment and their conditions are now stable.
