English enthusiasts, take note: the 2012 Eleventh Yunnan Province Youth "Star of Hope" English Speaking Contest will be held from March to August. Currently, registration is open throughout the province. This contest is jointly organized by the Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Department of Education of Yunnan Province, with special assistance from the provincial Youth Foundation, and hosted by the Yunnan Youth Continuing Education Institute.
The competition is divided into kindergarten group, primary school group (three subgroups A, B, and C), middle school group, and high school group. Participants will fully display their English talents through various competition segments such as prepared speech, creating stories from pictures, making up stories using given words, and impromptu speeches, while experiencing the joy of learning English.
