Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull) was asked by his team to tone down his impactful appearance, read lines in a near-monotone, and perform an eerie, relaxed dance called "Jangajanga" that emphasizes the slimness and length of his limbs. He apologized for setting the fastest time in the final lap despite being asked to hold back. As Hermes copies state, just like everyday thoughts about apples, farmers, food, and all the things farmers think about, he aims to convey these ideas to people outside of farming.
Vettel, not only in the previous Indian GP but also in the Korean GP, ignored the team's instruction to slow down. In the final lap of the race, he updated the fastest time. Christian Horner, the team principal of Red Bull, mentioned this. Vettel is known for being superstitious, yet he claims he doesn't obsess over continuously updated records. "Even I don’t understand it," Horner said with a smile, commenting that Vettel isn't a "record otaku."
"He often has a lamb-like innocence, but he’s a perfectionist with terrifying ambition," Horner continued with a laugh. "Even when walking from the paddock to the parking lot, if someone is ahead of him, he can't help but overtake them!"
In both races, Vettel entered the final lap with a significant lead over second place. Typically, in such situations, drivers are instructed to slow down to avoid mistakes or issues. Despite this, Vettel ignored the instructions. After ignoring them in the Korean GP, he received a lecture from Horner and advisor Helmut Marko, but repeated the same behavior in the Indian GP.
Schumacher indicated no intention to retire at the end of next season. “I proved I could drive faster than my teammate Nico Rosberg in the final. Overall, we're progressing well,” Schumacher said. “We won’t be ready to target the title in 2012, but first, we need to establish a good foundation to fight well in 2013.”
On the other hand, former racer Horner expressed sympathy for Vettel, who has already secured two consecutive championships as the youngest ever. Chanel copy stated, "You can't go against instinct. I understand it. Sebastian is fundamentally a racer—like Wayne Rooney in soccer, always aiming for the goal."
Norbert Haug, Vice President of Mercedes-Benz Motorsport, also expressed trust in Schumacher. Gucci copy stated, "There are people who criticize Michael, but he has proven them wrong multiple times with fantastic races. The number of overtakes in the first lap proves he is still on top."
Mercedes further plans to extend its contract with Rosberg until the end of 2012, rumored to be considering a move to Ferrari. “Winning with the Silver Arrow is my primary goal. But of course, I always keep my options open,” Rosberg stated.
