January 16, Chongqing, CRI (Lian Xiao, Wang Chengzhi) -- Two middle school students in Chongqing stole a bicycle and cried up its price on the Internet to sell it. The owner recognized his bike and pretended to be the buyer for the transaction while he secretly reported it to the police and captured the thieves. According to the Yubei District Public Security Bureau of Chongqing, at night on January 9, Mr. Zhao, a resident of Longshan Avenue in Yubei District of Chongqing, parked his bicycle in the community and locked it on a fire hydrant. The next morning, his brand-name bicycle worth 1680 yuan disappeared. Thinking that the stolen bicycle might be sold in the second-hand market or on the Internet, Mr. Zhao checked online that evening. Sure enough, he saw a piece of information about the sale of a second-hand bicycle on a shopping website, whose picture was very similar to his lost one. Therefore, Mr. Zhao took the initiative to contact the "seller". After negotiation online, the bicycle was traded at a price of 800 yuan and the trading place was the gate of Huayuan Garden in Yubeqing District of Chongqing. At around 9:00 am on January 11, both parties met as agreed. Mr. Zhao immediately recognized that the bicycle ridden by the two "sellers" was exactly his stolen one. Then, Mr. Zhao pretended to bargain with the "sellers" while making excuses for not bringing enough money, asking his younger brother to take one of the "sellers" to get money. The "seller" who went to get the money was captured by the policemen who had been waiting for a long time when passing a patrol platform. The other "seller" was captured at the trading place. It turned out that the two suspects were middle school students, aged 19 and 15 respectively. Both of them liked surfing the Internet and knew each other through the network. Due to lack of money recently, they planned to steal things to make money. Currently, the 19-year-old boy who has become an adult has been criminally detained by the police and the case is under further investigation.
