At around 15:00 yesterday, the public security bureau of (Inner Mongolia) Da茂Flag issued a notice on its Weibo account soliciting clues to solve a case. The post said that a case of home invasion, rape of a minor, and robbery had occurred in Da茂Flag, and the police were offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of the perpetrator.
The notice first appeared on the Da茂 Public Security Bureau's Weibo account. It stated that at around 15:40 on January 6, 2012, a case of home invasion, rape of a minor, and robbery occurred at a resident's home on Shuangta Street in Bailingmiao Town. A man broke into a bungalow after drinking alcohol, using tools to pry open the door lock. Upon entering, he discovered a girl playing on the computer, proceeded to assault her, and then took two mobile phones from the house before leaving the scene.
In the afternoon yesterday, a reporter interviewed Officer Kang from the Da茂 Public Security Bureau over the phone. He said that the incident happened between 15:10 and 15:40 on January 6. At the time, the female homeowner had locked the front gate and gone out, leaving only her 13-year-old daughter, who was still in school, at home. A man broke into the courtyard by prying open the gate, sexually assaulted the young girl, and stole a school communication device issued by the girl’s school as well as one of her father's mobile phones. Before leaving, the man threatened the girl not to report the crime or tell her parents.
After the incident, the Da茂 Public Security Bureau made every effort to investigate the case, but there was little progress. The police were concerned that the suspect might be involved in a series of crimes across different regions, so they decided to issue the notice via Weibo.
According to Officer Kang, the suspect is approximately 20 to 30 years old, about 175 cm tall, with a slim build and dark skin. His upper lip protrudes, his eyes are small, and his hands are rough. During the crime, he was wearing a black zip-up cotton jacket with a turned-down collar and black-blue jeans. The tool used in the crime was an iron rod about 30 cm long.
The Da茂 police Weibo account stated that a reward of 10,000 yuan would be given to anyone who provides clues directly leading to solving the case. Those with relevant information can contact Officer Zhang at 13704725110 or Officer Kang at 13847262900.
