Our staff reporter (Piao Xiaolan) - A 34-year-old farmer from Jiangxi province, Chen Zhiqiang, is suspected of killing his employer 16 years ago together with a colleague because they believed their employer owed them wages. We learned yesterday that Chen Zhiqiang has been prosecuted in the No.2 Intermediate People's Court on charges of intentional homicide.

The prosecution accused Chen Zhiqiang and his accomplices Yu Mingliang, Rao Huiyu, and Zeng Siqin (all handled separately) of harboring resentment against their employer Li Mou for allegedly owing them wages. In the early hours of November 27, 1995, inside a workshop in Dahongmen, Fengtai district, Chen Zhiqiang violently strangled Li Mou with his arm, while Yu Mingliang and Rao Huiyu struck Li Mou's head fiercely with a sewing machine board and a hammer respectively. Chen Zhiqiang and others also stuffed a towel into Li Mou's mouth and bound him, ultimately resulting in Li Mou's death. After fleeing for 16 years, Chen Zhiqiang was apprehended.

The prosecution believes that Chen Zhiqiang conspired to intentionally and illegally deprive another person of life, committing a crime of particularly heinous nature, with especially severe circumstances and consequences, posing great social harm. Therefore, he should be held criminally responsible for intentional homicide.

Currently, this case is still under further trial.
