Our news agency reports (by correspondents Pei Jinpeng and Wang Junfeng) that Ms. Zhao accompanied a friend to the hospital after drinking, and became angry because she suspected that a man was staring at her and her friend. She then called her boyfriend, resulting in a brawl between both families in the emergency room. Recently, Huairou Court reviewed this case of provoking trouble.
The court decided to sentence Zhao for disturbing public order, sentencing her to 8 months in prison, with a 1-year reprieve.
During the trial, Zhao's defense counsel argued that Zhao had a good attitude towards confession, was a first-time offender, actively compensated the victim's economic losses, and received forgiveness, suggesting that the court impose a lighter punishment on Zhao and apply probation.
The prosecution accused Zhao, on January 23rd this year, during a visit to the emergency room of a hospital in Huairou District, of having a verbal altercation with Zhuo due to trivial matters, which led to a brawl between their families in the emergency room. Later, Zhao called Ren and others, who assaulted Zhuo and his family. After identification, the physical damages suffered by two victims were identified as minor and slight injuries. The prosecution believed that the defendant randomly assaulted others, under serious circumstances, and should be held criminally responsible for provoking trouble.
