Changsha - In the last vacation, senior students Wu Liqiang and Li Jin from Hunan University of Science and Technology embarked on a journey to remote mountainous areas in Guizhou, providing free family portraits for local impoverished families. On January 15, Wu Liqiang and Li Jin set off together from Xiangtan. The two had less than 1000 yuan combined. On the way to Guizhou, there was one time when they camped by a small river for a night to save 40 yuan for accommodation. They kept walking and taking photos for the villagers, trying to minimize expenses as much as possible, but the 1000 yuan was quickly spent. At a coal mine in Bijie, Guizhou, they stopped to work part-time jobs, also took photos for the miners, and earned about 1000 yuan in wages. "During the entire Spring Festival, we took about 70 family portraits, costing around 2000 yuan, mainly for travel expenses," said Wu Liqiang.
