Sisi's family was moved. Tian lied that he needed to pay a deposit, and on October 24, 2010, he took 20,000 yuan from Sisi's parents. Two days later, Tian took another 40,000 yuan from Sisi's parents, claiming it would be part of the down payment along with the previous 20,000 yuan.
This story, which seems like a TV drama plot, actually happened in the Dadukou district.
Afterward, Tian repeatedly took between 10,000 to 20,000 yuan from Sisi's parents for reasons such as hosting banquets or giving transportation fees to people handling the affairs.
On December 22 of the same year, Sisi's parents reported the incident to the police in Dadukou district. On December 29, the officers captured Tian.
After the "teacher qualification certificate" was obtained, Tian used reasons such as "thanking Mr. Yang, the school director," or "visiting the school" to take money from Sisi, ranging from 3,000 yuan to over ten thousand yuan each time.
Tian defrauded them of 60,000 yuan in 16 instances.
He: He said he was a civil servant, his father ran a mine, and his family had connections. As adults, we couldn't manage our children's affairs. We trusted him too much because of his family's connections, wanting him to help.
The Chongqing Evening News learned that Tian is about 1.7 meters tall, has a high school education, and an average appearance. Without talent or wealth, how could Tian repeatedly succeed in fraud? "The key is that he has a silver tongue," said the officer investigating this case.
Defrauding them of over 200,000 yuan
In 2010, Sisi's family received a compensation payment due to relocation, and they were busy buying a house.
On the day Tian was arrested, Sisi sent a text message to Tian's phone: "I have determined all the certificates to be forged."
Sisi still didn't become a teacher. Tian told her that because he frequently sought favors for her work-related matters, his superior found out. The superior was angry and fired him.
Sisi's family wanted to buy a house of seventy to eighty square meters. Tian told Sisi's parents that this type of unit in the housing development would cost seventy to eighty thousand yuan, but he could get it for 500,000 yuan.
On August 2011, when the housing development delivered the houses, Sisi's parents happily brought the property deed to the sales office to view the house, only to find out that the house listed on the property deed hadn't been sold.
At this point, they had already paid over 200,000 yuan for this house.
To become a teacher, one must first obtain a teacher qualification certificate. Tian made Sisi pay three times: the first time 3,000 yuan, the second time 4,000 yuan, and the third time 7,000 yuan.
In May 2011, Tian gave Sisi's parents a property deed, claiming everything was done. This time, he received 30,000 yuan as a gratuity from Sisi's parents.
"We trusted his family connections too much"
Tian said, "My biggest flaw is dishonesty." Perhaps after being detained, he reflected and asked the officer to deliver a message: "Tell Sisi to open her eyes when choosing a boyfriend in the future."
Yesterday, the Chongqing Evening News reporter communicated with Ms. He, Sisi's mother.
Reporter (hereinafter referred to as "Reporter"): What was your impression of Tian before you knew he was suspected of fraud?
Ms. He (hereinafter referred to as "He"): He was very talkative, sweet-talking, but not reliable.
Ms. He indicated that after being defrauded by Tian, Sisi cried every day. Even though the Spring Festival was approaching, Sisi chose to leave for elsewhere to calm her mind.
Tian told Sisi that he was a civil servant, originally from Xiushan, and his father ran a mine there. Tian voluntarily offered to help her work in her major at a primary school in Dadukou. Tian confidently claimed that his family had connections, but some fees were necessary. Sisi and her family expressed understanding.
When they first met, he deceived her by promising to help her find a teaching job, defrauding her 16 times and taking 60,000 yuan. Although the matter of the job went nowhere, she did not suspect him and instead became his girlfriend.
Tian told Sisi's parents that his father and the developer's "Mr. Liu" of a certain housing project in Dadukou district were good friends, so he could buy a house at a discount.
Yesterday, the Chongqing Evening News learned from the Dadukou district police that Tian is suspected of fraud and has been criminally detained by the police.
The officer investigated and found that Tian's claims of being a civil servant, his father running a mine, and having a wealthy family were all false. He was actually a temporary worker for a local unit. When Tian was arrested by the police, he only had two coins in his wallet—one worth 50 cents and the other 10 cents.
