Our news report: Yesterday afternoon at around 3:40 PM, a horrific car accident occurred within the jurisdiction of Suyu District in Suqian City along the first-class Sushuo Road. For unknown reasons, a rapidly moving white sedan suddenly collided with a bridge abutment by the road. The impact was so severe that the entire engine fell off and was thrown over a meter away, while the headlights from the front of the car flew over ten meters away. There were five people in the car, including the driver and a seven or eight-month-old infant. The accident resulted in two immediate deaths and left three others critically injured, who were rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment.
According to Mr. Bao, a passing driver, he was driving from Shuyang along the first-class Sushuo Road towards Suqian. After passing a traffic light west of the toll booth, he noticed two cars speeding past him.
About ten minutes later, he discovered that the white Buick sedan which had overtaken him earlier had crashed into a bridge abutment by the side of the road. What baffled Mr. Bao was that there was no trace of braking behind the vehicle. Mr. Bao immediately stopped his car and ran up quickly. He found that the woman sitting in the passenger seat had no response at all, while the driver had crawled out of the car and was lying motionless on the ground. Mr. Bao promptly called the 120 emergency number. An ambulance from the Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Suqian swiftly arrived at the scene and transported the driver, a middle-aged woman sitting in the backseat, and the infant to the hospital for emergency treatment.
