Chinese traditional funeral spontaneously constituted a kind of primitive ecological natural view. Tianren Tai has always run through the traditional Chinese philosophy. The three major schools of thought in ancient China, namely Confucianism, Daoism, and Buddhism, have all made sufficient expressions and arguments. The Confucian human realm takes the unity of man and all things in heaven and earth as its doctrine; the Daoist natural realm takes "heaven and earth coexist with me, and all things are one with me"; the Buddhist birth realm takes "reliance on righteousness" as its purpose. All of them consider heaven, earth, and all living things as an integral whole. Most ancient Chinese cemeteries were built according to local conditions, following the terrain, using materials from nature, and seeking the origin of nature to choose burial sites. By emulating nature, they ultimately achieve returning to nature, a simple philosophy of harmony between humans and nature that coincides with modern ecology's views, despite being separated by time and space. This construction of ecological natural views makes Chinese traditional imperial tombs stand out in combining with nature and utilizing natural resources, creating ideal tomb environments in agrarian societies with backward technology, offering good reference for modern urban cemetery design.
