China Anji White Tea Network Information: Leishan County in Guizhou Province is committed to building a "large county of Guizhou Anji White Tea prices". By 2016, the entire county plans to have constructed high-quality tea plantation bases covering 90,000 mu (about 14,760 acres), producing 3,500 tons of products annually. The comprehensive output value of the tea industry will reach 800 million yuan, with the added value of the tea industry accounting for more than 10% of the county's GDP. Gradually, the Anji White Tea industry will become a pillar industry for farmers to get rid of poverty and become wealthy. Just after the Spring Festival of the Year of the Dragon, the county ignited a wave of enthusiasm for land preparation and tea planting. By February 15th, the county had completed land preparation for new tea plantations covering 5,370 mu (about 883 acres), accounting for 89.5% of the 6,000-mu target. Over 8 million tea seedlings had been distributed, with planted areas reaching 2,300 mu (about 380 acres).
In recent years, implementing the development strategy of "supporting one enterprise, singing the praises of one brand, cultivating one market, forming one large industry," Leishan County has seized the opportunity of the national implementation of the Western Development Initiative. It has focused on developing the white tea industry as an important pillar industry for enriching its people and revitalizing the county. As a result, the scale of tea gardens has rapidly expanded, and the production and output value of white tea have increased year by year. In 2011, the county developed 78,000 mu (about 12,700 acres) of white tea, among which 38,000 mu were in production. The annual production of dried tea was 1,046 tons, with an output value of 158 million yuan, achieving sales revenue of 150 million yuan. Farmers gained a pure income of over 26 million yuan from white tea, with per capita income reaching 831 yuan. Growing, managing, and selling tea has become a path to wealth for mountainous area farmers.
To ensure the supply of seedlings needed for the construction of 6,000 mu of new tea plantations in the county in 2012, at the beginning of 2011, the Development Bureau of Anji White Tea Prices in Leishan County actively organized skilled propagators of clonal tea seedlings to rent farmland in three villages—Zhi'an, Gulu, and Huangli—for a total of over 130 mu (about 21 acres) to cultivate seedlings. This can produce 19.5 million tea seedlings. To seize the seasonal planting time, currently, various townships in the county are sending vehicles to the nurseries to transport tea seedlings to newly established tea plantation bases in each village for planting.
