After multiple rounds of "bargaining", the kidnappers finally reduced the ransom to 15,000 yuan.
At 11 a.m. on February 2, after continuous hard work, the special case police found that the kidnapper was hiding with the victim within the jurisdiction of Jilong Town. In order to lure the snake out of its hole and capture the suspect, at around 2 p.m., the victim’s family, according to the police's prior arrangement, transferred 15,000 yuan as the ransom into the designated account. Half an hour later, the carefully hidden police officers who were stationed nearby for surveillance successfully captured the suspect Zhang Song holding the ransom and ready to escape, and subsequently rescued the hostage safely and recovered the ransom of 15,000 yuan.
Currently, the suspect Zhang Song has been criminally detained according to law. The case is still under further review.

Recently, under the strong support of Huizhou Municipal Public Security Bureau, Huizhou Dong County Public Security Bureau successfully solved the Dalin Town "1・31" kidnapping extortion case, capturing the suspect Zhang Song, rescuing the hostage safely, and recovering the ransom of 15,000 yuan, promptly eliminating social impact.
After interrogation, the suspect Zhang Song confessed that he and his girlfriend had held a wedding banquet several years ago but never officially registered their marriage. During the banquet, he had given her family 20,000 yuan as dowry money. Now, they have a two-year-old child, and life should have been harmonious. However, over the years, conflicts and quarrels between them were constant. Since the wedding banquet, Zhang Song had been living in his girlfriend's home. Her mother could no longer endure their disputes and asked her daughter to break up with Zhang Song, then immediately evicted him from the house and claimed she would settle accounts with him, demanding he pay for years of food expenses. Zhang Song became very angry; if they were to break up, he insisted on getting back the dowry money. After several negotiations, Zhang Song failed to retrieve the dowry money, so he kidnapped his girlfriend's younger brother and demanded a ransom of 100,000 yuan.
