"Chaos Spring and Autumn" is a slapstick, quirky web game masterpiece themed around the "Youxi Monkey", the most popular internet character in 2007. Players travel through time back to the Spring and Autumn Warring States period, transforming into small estate owners. By recruiting heroes and extraordinary individuals from all over history and the world, players can establish their own chaotic empire during this era of fierce competition. Each account has seven days of protection after selecting a server and region. During these seven days, you cannot attack other players, and they cannot attack you. After these seven days, you may face a world where the strong prey on the weak and bandits run rampant. Therefore, during these seven days, you should try to strengthen yourself as much as possible. Remember, wealth should not be flaunted, and you should also learn to disguise yourself as an African refugee (players can only see your buildings, technology, money, and food when they scout).
1. New players often develop haphazardly due to curiosity or misunderstanding the practicality of some buildings or skills, leading to slower development compared to others. The first step is to find "farmland" in the "Estate" page and click the construction option behind it. Then, find "Agricultural Techniques" in the "Production Technology" section. Farmland produces 120 units of food automatically every hour for each level upgrade. Don't underestimate this production; when you reach the maximum level of 30, combined with agricultural techniques, you can achieve a production rate of more than 6000 units. In the "Estate" page, there's also a "Main Residence," which reduces the construction time of all buildings in the "Estate." You might have doubts about whether to prioritize upgrading the main residence or farmland in the early stages. It's actually quite simple: the main residence only goes up to ten levels, but its construction cycle is relatively long. When you build farmland during the day and sleep at night, you can choose to upgrade the main residence. When your farmland reaches higher levels requiring several hours of construction time, your main residence will also be fully upgraded.
2. Next, find "Scouting Techniques" in the "Basic Techniques" section of the "Technology" page and click to upgrade it. Its role is twofold: (1) After creating scouts, you can investigate another player's estate technology, money, food, retainers, and military status. (2) Prevent others from investigating your estate information. If you want to minimize attacks from other players, scouting techniques are indispensable. If possible, keep upgrading the scouting technique without interruption. There is a probability of failure when conducting reconnaissance. When the opponent's scouting technique is higher than yours, there is a risk of failure. Even if your scouting technique is higher than the opponent's, the success rate is at most 99%. After a failed reconnaissance, the opponent will receive a message that you sent out spies, and the spies will be eliminated. Successful reconnaissance provides no indication to the opponent, and you will receive the reconnaissance information in your message box. The "Marching Technique" takes much less time to upgrade compared to the scouting technique, so you can take advantage of spare moments to upgrade it, with the maximum level being ten.
Note: You cannot investigate players with green names (much weaker than you, with a reputation difference of 500) or red names (reputation higher by 500), otherwise, the reconnaissance will fail unconditionally.
3. At this point, you may crave money and feel that your remaining funds after using 50,000 are insufficient. Selling food directly in the store? That's the stupidest move. While upgrading farmland and agricultural techniques, find "Stables" and "Horse Taming Techniques" on their respective pages and upgrade them both by one level. Currently, upgrading by one level is sufficient. After completion, you can start raising horses to make money. Don't be greedy thinking that higher-level horses earn more money; only chestnut horses make a profit, while others result in losses. You might say that one chestnut horse requires 500 units of food and earns only 120 taels, which is less profitable than raising chickens, ducks, or cows. This statement is correct. However, if you need to construct your estate and upgrade technologies, raising chickens, ducks, or cows would leave you in deficit before you even finish raising them. The correct approach is to upgrade farming techniques to around level 10, horse taming techniques to level 1, then raise the "Animal Husbandry Techniques" to the top level of 5, and finally construct the "Livestock Farm" to level 1 in your spare time. Afterward, you can change your earning method. At this point, producing one cow can yield several times the profit, allowing you to use the accumulated tens of thousands of food units from sleeping overnight to raise cows. During this time, if you lack funds, sell some horses produced from food. Once you feel that your food production is sufficiently abundant, gradually upgrade the "Livestock Farm" to increase the speed of livestock production.
4. The above discusses construction and economics; now we begin with the initial military development. In the game, troop types are divided into arrows, fists, swords, knives, and spears, which counteract each other. In the later stages of the game, a single troop type cannot survive, but we'll set that aside for now. Initially, it is recommended to develop archer troops. In the early stages of the game, archers have significant advantages, not only for completing tasks but also providing strong self-protection capabilities after leaving the protection period. With sufficient troops, nearby players with similar reputations, even if they select troop types that counter yours, you can still protect yourself because leveling up various martial arts skills requires substantial time and money. In the same situation where skills are not fully developed, archers have a significant advantage. While developing the economy, construct a level one "Training Ground" (because now there are recruitment cards, a level one training ground is sufficient for the early stages of troop production). Then, upgrade the "Troop Production Technique" in the "Production Technology" section. Level one technology can produce level one troops, level three technology produces level two troops, level five produces level three troops, and level seven produces level four, the current top-tier troops. Some people choose to produce level two troops in the early stages, while others go straight for the top-tier troops. You can choose to produce more than 300 level two troops before leaving the protection period, or directly produce top-tier troops. (When the opponent investigates you, the troop information displayed is only the type (few)(many)(large amount)(vast amount). Troops exceeding 300 will be displayed as vast.) This way, basically, no one nearby will attack you.
Next comes the crucial order of martial arts skill development. Producing troops without upgrading martial arts skills is like having the form but not the spirit. As long as the opponent's skills are higher than yours, a significantly smaller number of troops can easily annihilate you.
The martial arts skills of arrow-type troops, in order of importance, can be ranked as: Fengwu (attack one round earlier)- > +10% sensitivity- > attack- > blood defense. When your archers do not perform the Fengwu Jiutian skill in the first round, your troops will just charge... But if the opponent performs Fengwu, even if their sensitivity is lower than yours, you will still be annihilated. Similarly, if both sides perform Fengwu, it depends on who has the higher sensitivity-enhancing skill. The Fengwu skill can be considered a must-upgrade skill. When upgrading, you can first upgrade Fengwu a few levels. When the required time for its upgrade increases significantly, you can choose to upgrade the sensitivity-enhancing skill and Fengwu during nighttime sleep.
5. Every day, you have nine recruitment opportunities, three each from villages, counties, and towns. Initially, you can directly recruit three black retainers and let them level up slowly. They can work part-time to supplement household expenses. Of course, don't forget elite retainers, including green, blue, purple, gray, and red. Red can be excluded. Among the gray retainers, their color is displayed as light gray or dark gray during recruitment. Light gray represents agility-based attackers, while dark gray represents blood-defense types. (Of course, some grays won't display directly, usually characters from Tian Can Di Que. These retainers have the same abilities as other gray retainers.) For the others, green, blue, and purple, you need to promote them to retainers to know their colors. You can use the toolbox search or the official magnifying glass to search. Elite retainers aren't recruited daily, and the long-term use of the magnifying glass requires significant RMB investment. When you feel your retainers are insufficient or their numbers are inadequate, you can upgrade a few levels of "Zhu Xian Ju" to increase the retainer quantity limit.
6. By now, you're nearing the end of the protection period, with a reputation of six to seven hundred. At this stage, missions can provide some equipment, such as level five weapons for retainers, and some require guard duties. Except for the "Huashan Lunjian" which needs powerful retainers, your current troops and skills are sufficient to complete current missions. Guard duty missions can give you materials to produce troops. Note: Jingyang Ridge's tigers at night are stronger than during the day, with blood volume increasing from a few hundred to over a thousand. I just have this rough impression since I rarely do this mission and haven't tested the specific data. After the protection period ends, choose nearby estates (!) that haven't been online for two days to rob. Why rob !? Because most new accounts marked with ! are dead accounts that players have abandoned. Attacking estates without ! might mean the opponent is online, and once you attack, they could immediately list their resources on the auction house, leaving you with nothing and potentially making enemies who might ambush you later.
If you're unlucky and encounter some violent troublemakers nearby sending troops against you, don't panic. Send scouts to check their technical status and see if you can defeat them. Fight if you can, and run if you can't. Take your troops to do missions or find safe estates in other provinces to kick. Also, put your food and other resources up for auction at about four times the price. Money can't be transferred, but you can use it to upgrade expensive buildings like taverns. Cancel the auction after the enemy attack is over, and your money will return. Remember not to get anxious; if you spend all your money producing copper-like items, you'll regret it because these processes can't be canceled, and you'll be stuck producing copper for months.
7. After the protection period ends and you've secured yourself, you'll have endless money because there are many dead accounts, commonly known as sheep, around you now. Those with especially abundant resources are called fat sheep. But as your reputation rises, you can no longer attack dead accounts with much lower reputations. By this point, your troop skills should be nearly fully upgraded, and your troops should exceed a thousand. During this period, there are very few dead accounts left. Now, you can choose to do missions, which offer substantial income. When your reputation reaches 2000, most missions besides Doraemon and Ten Kill Array are highly profitable, providing plenty of troop production materials and horses. You can earn hundreds of thousands per day, allowing you to build things like Xiyou Pagoda costing millions.
8. Regarding missions, with the 50% increased speed from recruitment cards, as long as your troop skills are high enough, your reputation meeting the mission requirements will suffice to complete the missions. However, the Ten Kill Array mission is special, requiring roughly six retainers to ensure smooth passage. The basic requirements for the Doraemon mission are similar to the Ten Kill Array. Various mission reports can be found on forums.
Note: First create troops and then use recruitment cards; the original troop production time won't decrease. Similarly, first produce livestock or horses and then upgrade buildings that enhance production speed; the time won't change either.
