In recent years, with the casual and comfortable development trend of clothing, some types of clothing have emerged that give people a sense of casualness and comfort regardless of the season, such as T-shirts and aprons that are popular in summer. The T-shirt is somewhat similar to a short-sleeved sports shirt, but its hem is loose instead of elastic, and it has an over-the-head design. Its collar style generally comes in two forms: small lapel with half-open buttons at the front or no collar and no button. The range of colors available for T-shirts is very wide; there are vibrant solid colors, light stripes, chest and back prints, etc., with rich colors and various patterns. In general public places, especially during leisure time, men wearing a T-shirt can especially show a carefree and graceful demeanor without any embellishment.

In the past, people always thought that T-shirts were clothes for young people, and middle-aged and elderly people dared not try them. In fact, wearing T-shirts is not limited by age, meaning the age span for choosing T-shirts is quite large. As long as you like, you can wear them at any age. However, different ages may have different body types; middle-aged and elderly people usually have larger waists and bellies. Therefore, when purchasing, one should choose according to their own body type. For example, those who are overweight can choose a slightly larger size to cover the "thick waist and protruding belly" defect. Additionally, they can choose cool, simple colors or straight thick stripe patterns, which can make them appear slimmer. Wearing the T-shirt's hem outside the pants can also cover the waist area. On the contrary, thin people should buy more fitted T-shirts and tuck the hem into long pants, which can highlight a graceful figure. Generally speaking, T-shirts should be bought slightly loose, especially in hot summers. A small size will give a feeling of being "bound" to the body, looking very uncomfortable, and it’s also inconvenient to put on and take off.

Currently, the materials of T-shirts available in the market generally include 100% cotton, linen, polyester-linen, polyester-silk, etc. 100% cotton T-shirts are comfortable to wear and can absorb sweat, but they cling to the body and are less aesthetically pleasing, easily wrinkling after washing. However, if washed frequently and paired with non-cotton pants below, it can still work. When purchasing, attention should be paid to buying a slightly larger size to prevent shrinkage. Linen fabric is a relatively high-end option, both cool and stylish with a good texture, but it is more expensive. Polyester-linen looks similar to linen, doesn't wrinkle easily after washing, and is moderately priced, making it a suitable choice. Polyester-silk appears very thin and glossy, but has poor breathability and gives a feeling of clinging to the body. Additionally, there is a type of T-shirt made from a blend of cotton yarn and synthetic fibers, which is not only lightweight but also wrinkle-free, making it the most ideal option.

Since T-shirts resemble convenient sportswear, the pants and shoes worn with them should also be convenient to maintain uniformity top-to-bottom. Generally speaking, T-shirts should be paired with close-fitting long pants or relaxed water-washed cloth pants, avoiding wool trousers. Additionally, lightweight leather shoes or sneakers should be chosen to match them.
