Mason said that company's group-buying customers are also using Groupon NOW, but he emphasized that it might take longer time for the new service to grow. At Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet Conference held in San Francisco, Mason said, "Though all indicators are developing in the right direction, I expect there won't be much growth in the next one or two quarters. This is a long-term investment." He also said, "In three years, the company has developed from scratch to its current scale, becoming the fastest growing company in history," showing that the company has a lot of opportunities, "We have cracked the code of this industry." Although he admitted that Groupon was still at the initial stage in developing the market of group-buying and local deal commerce, people would find life unimaginable without Groupon in a few years.
