Informatica Corporation, a provider of enterprise data platform solutions, has announced the establishment of the SOA Data Integration Architect Community (SDIAC), a free and open community focused on the value of data integration and data services in agile architecture. As enterprises across various industries strive to create a data architecture that can be used to provide timely and reliable data as a service, SDIAC offers a unique forum for all major participants and partners in the field, including enterprise architects, application architects, solution architects, IT architects, and IT managers responsible for enterprise architecture.

David Linthicum, an author and industry expert, serves as the President of SDIAC. He is one of the world's most renowned authorities on SOA, enterprise integration, cloud computing, and data services. He will work with dedicated architect groups and other experts from leading companies to manage the community. These individuals have extensive practical experience in SOA, corporate applications, and data integration.

Now firmly established in the IT mainstream but often involving complex data integration challenges, agile architecture is usually unable to effectively manage and maintain enterprise data assets. Therefore, SDIAC provides architects with a unique, open social networking environment where they can interact with colleagues and thought leaders, share challenges, innovations, and best practices, and showcase success stories of data integration and data services in agile architecture.

As part of its mission, SDIAC will be managed by founding members who will deliver webinars, write blogs by leading experts, and facilitate real-time discussions. It will also provide a repository of case studies, best practices, and reference architectures. SDIAC members will be invited to participate in the annual Informatica Architect Forum, which will take place from November 2-4, 2010, in Washington, DC, marking the debut of the company’s annual user conference, Informatica World 2010.
