November 10, Beijing Time - In response to media reports on the issues of slow delivery, phone crashes, paint chipping, and untimely after-sales service regarding Xiaomi phones, Xiaomi Technology issued a statement today. The company announced that the delivery volume will increase to 2,000 units per day in three days. The quality of the retail version has been improved, and engineering units can be returned or exchanged with an extension. Meanwhile, for inaccurate statements, Xiaomi will "resolve them through legal means."

The following is the full text of the statement:

Xiaomi Technology's Statement Regarding Quality Concerns of Retail Version Phones

1. Starting from November 11, Xiaomi will increase the daily shipment volume to 2,000 units. After one week, 3,000-5,000 units will be supplied daily to pre-ordered users. Production problems encountered earlier have now been resolved, and the impact brought by the Thailand flood has also been addressed.

2. Both hardware and software aspects of the retail version of Xiaomi phones have been significantly improved. Issues such as paint chipping and loose back covers on some engineering units have been resolved.

3. Regarding quality, our online customer service software has undergone strict testing and control to avoid serious quality issues such as inability to take photos, frequent crashes, and poor call audio. Xiaomi phones strictly adhere to the three guarantees agreement. Users encountering quality issues can contact the customer service center, and we will resolve them as quickly as possible.

4. Users who have not yet exchanged their overdue engineering units can do so with an extension.

5. Regarding nationwide after-sales service concerns, Xiaomi has already established two Mi Home service stations in Beijing and Nanjing. Within this month, Mi Home stations in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Wuhan will also be opened successively. Users can pick up and repair their phones at Mi Home. In the future, we plan to establish more Mi Homes in other cities.

6. Regarding the quality issues raised by Mr. Liu as reported by Legal Evening News, we have communicated multiple times with the reporter hoping to obtain the user's contact information so that we can verify and promptly resolve the issue. However, we did not receive any response.

7. Here, we sincerely thank all users who have been paying long-term attention to Xiaomi phones! Regarding malicious and inaccurate slanders circulating outside, we will resolve them through legal means.
