According to a report by the foreign website AppleInsider, a patent application named "Three Dimensional User Interface Effects on a Display by Using Properties of Motion" (3D user interface display effects achieved using motion properties) was recently exposed by the media and caused quite a stir. This document describes information indicating that iOS devices can display naked-eye 3D effects based on the angle of light.
The document states that this effect could be achieved through a series of special sensors in future iOS devices. For example, eye-tracking performed by a front-facing camera could automatically display different 3D user interfaces according to changes in the surrounding environment. The compass, accelerometer, gyroscope, and GPS within the device would all contribute to this functionality. Additionally, the document reveals that facial recognition technology will also be considered for use in iOS devices.
Although this is just a patent application from Apple and does not necessarily mean that future iOS devices will definitely have this feature that many users are drooling over, it at least gives us something exciting to look forward to with even better iPhones in the future, right?
